Baked Turmeric Veggie "Fritters"

This recipe is a great meatless source of protein and full of anti-inflammatory turmeric! They're great eaten by themselves as a snack or as the protein in a meal. I love pairing mine with veggies and hummus. This recipe makes about 12 "fritters" and I say serves "4" since I usually eat 3 per serving if I want them as a main dish, but you can easily have 1 or 2 as a snack and it will serve more. As with everything else I make, I love meal prepping them for easy access during the week.

Pumpkin Tahini Brownies

These brownies come out super "fudgy" and totally satisfy my chocolate craving! Bonus is they are mostly made out of pumpkin and are grain and dairy free and paleo! Depending on the type of chocolate and sweetener you use, you can make these more or less sweet. They are also loaded with natural heart healthy monounsaturated fats and protein from the tahini!

Pumpkin Tahini Brownies

These recipes were originally inspired by Jacki at @figgindelicious - she has an awesome website that you can check out here too!

Pumpkin Cloud Paleo Muffins

I call these muffins "cloud' muffins because they are so FLUFFY! They are completely paleo and don't have any sugar added! I love these for a grab and go breakfast or snack. I recommend storing in an air-tight container in the fridge (or else the pumpkin and apple sauce will go bad) or these freeze really well!

Banana Paleo Pro-nuts

These baked donuts are super healthy and full of gut-healing nutrients and protein that will keep you full. There is absolutely NO added sugar, they're just sweetened by the bananas. PLUS they're paleo-friendly, gluten/dairy/grain/soy and nut free! I love adding berries or chocolate chips into the batter OR eating them plain! Here is a link to the cassava flour I use (Otto's brand).

Magic Bread

IMG_0936.jpg

This bread is magic for so many reasons! First of all, it's yummy and easy to make. It's high protein, low carb, helps with a healthy gut AND it's free of chemicals and preservatives often found in store-bought bread. It also contains no yeast, dairy, wheat, or any grains and uses a few simple ingredients. I love eating it as toast, making it into sandwiches or even freezing half the batch for later.

Shortbread Cookie Protein Bars

IMG_6445.png

These are the perfect portable and clean snack to replace store-bought protein bars which can be full of sugar, chemicals and other processed junk. These contain only a few simple, wholesome ingredients and are great for on the go or satisfying that sweet tooth!

Paleo Protein Cookies

These grain-free cookies are big, fluffy, satisfying and contain NO processed ingredients! So they're clean as can be! Plus added bonus - they fill you up with an extra boost of collagen protein. You KNOW you will want dessert, so why not make it healthy to boot!

Hemp Heart "Proat" Muffins

Hemp hearts are the center and most nutrient-dense part of the hemp seed.  These muffins pack an extra punch of protein from the hemp seeds sprinkled on top, the greek yogurt inside and the eggs.  They are a perfect, filling AND portable breakfast or snack that won't leave you wanting more. You can customize them with "mix-ins" of your choice as well but I prefer mine plain with some Siggi's yogurt or almond butter on top.

Bad-A$$ Protein Brownies

These "brownies" are BAD A$$ there is no way around it. You feel like you are eating a FLUFFY and FUDGY (AF) brownie but each serving has insane (bad-a$$) macros! If you cut it into 8ths each one only has 5 grams of sugar and 10 grams of protein (AND only about 150 calories) WOOOOOT WOOOOT! Make these and eat them for breakfast, snacks or dessert, they're healthy enough to eat ALL DAY LONG.

More Power Less Flour Blondies

These flourless blondies make a great snack or dessert.  Packed with protein and fiber and no grains or flour.  They are vegan friendly too but I guarantee you they're a crowd pleaser!

Pr"OAT"ein Banana Bread

Depending on how small you cut up this recipe, it makes a perfect home made protein bar OR a hearty & filling but low carb/high protein/high fiber breakfast.  Gives you that same satisfaction of banana bread but will fill you up and fuel you up.

Clean Lean Bean Brownies

I created this brownie recipe around Thanksgiving which is the perfect time for clean, lean brownies.  They are a delicious holiday treat that won't pack on the pounds.  Full of fiber and protein but free of grains or dairy these will keep you slim and trim through holiday season.  Added bonus, the black beans add moistness and density so they are nice and fudgy.

Pumpkin Spice Pronut Holes

Who loves pumpkin spice? Me (and the whole universe). Who loves donuts? (also the whole universe). Who loves protein? (me... and maybe some of the universe...). Anyways I combined the three to create these pumpkin spice "pro-nut" holes... like protein donut, get it?! You will love them if you live in the universe, I promise!

Banana Nut Squares

These banana nut squares are packed with protein, and vitamin E from the almond flour, there is no added sugar, and the bananas add potassium and moistness without using any oil.  The oats help stabilize blood sugar and add resistant starch, which can actually help the probiotics in your gut! You can pick any mix-in, I love walnuts but anything would work great.  They're also paleo-friendly & gluten-free.

Grain Free Peanut Butter Cookies

These EASY to make cookies are grain free, full of healthy fats, low in sugar/carbohydrates and super delicious! I've made several variations using different flavors of peanut butter and different mix ins so you can feel free to get creative!

Cinnamon Apple Crumble Protein Bars

These apple bars are perfect to pack for school or work snacks and actually have a ton of protein to keep you full, unlike most recipes that call themselves protein bars.  These have ZERO added sugar OR oil and are gluten-free!  They're really good with some peanut or almond butter drizzled on them (come on who doesn't love apples and peanut butter!)

Zucchini Banana Almond Butter Power Muffins

These muffins are made from the most wholesome ingredients and make the perfect breakfast or snack since they are definitely filling (in a good way).  Moms, these are a perfect way to trick kids into eating vegetables (since you don't taste the zucchini)! Not to mention that they're paleo-friendly, gluten and dairy free and contain no refined sugar.  They're loaded with fiber, vitamins and protein AND if you top them with goji berries like I did, you can add an extra bit of protein and superfood power!

Sweet Baked Banana Chia Oats

If you have a ripe banana you must make this nourishing and scrumptious breakfast.  Since I work out in the mornings (usually) I like to prep it all ahead of time, workout, then pop it in the oven while I shower.  It seems like a long wait for a breakfast to cook but it is SO worth it! No added sweetener except the banana so it's good for your blood sugar, PLUS the bananas are high in potassium, the chia seeds give you those super important omega-3s, oats provide fiber and keep you full.  Comes out tasting like banana cake! My favorite topping is nut butter (duh) but it's great plan as well!

Guilt-Free Chocolate Mug Cake

Mug cakes are amazing because when you're craving a cake, you have a single-serve cake in a matter of minutes! Then, you can eat the entire thing, and still feel great after (not bloated or guilty) and fill your body with nourishing foods! This chocolate mug cake is perfect to satisfy your chocolate craving at breakfast, for dessert, or as a snack! It's grain, dairy and gluten free and packed with protein!

Mini Superfood Macaroons

mini superfood macaroons

Hemp hearts are the center of the hemp seed and are full of raw nutrition.  You may have heard them talked about but WHY are they so good for you? They contain all the essential amino acids (building blocks of protein) and essential fatty acids and tons of other vitamins and minerals.  AKA why they got labeled a superfood.  These little cookies also have another superfood friend -  goji berries - which are low on sugar, high on protein and antioxidants.  I mean come on, protein from a berry, that's super!  Anyways you won't be disappointed by these cookies - they barely have any added sugar and are loaded with nutrients so they make the perfect snack or dessert (or smoothie topper!)

The inspiration from this recipe was from in it 4 the long run blog.  I just increased the protein and reduced the sugar a bit, still came out super yummy! Thanks girl!
