These energy bites seriously hit the spot… they’re fudgey and chocolatey and don’t require baking (hello summer is coming and I’m pregnant so oven-free will be KEY!). They have minimal sugar (and it’s coming from nutrient-dense sources like raw honey) plus they are packed with all my other faves - fiber, protein, healthy fats! They also have superfoods like cacao which is rich in magnesium, a mineral many Americans are deficient in. I used Thera Treats CBD dark chocolate in this because not only is it super high quality soy-free, organic dark chocolate but it has healing properties. CBD can help with pain management, anxiety, relaxation, sleep and more! You can use code CPRESS on your own CBD treats from their website if you want.
I’m pretty obsessed with these bars. They come out thinner than a brownie, and more like a protein bar thickness but they are fudgy and chewy! They are really filling from all the natural protein, fiber and healthy fats in the almond flour, flaxseed meal and collagen. Plus the cacao and CBD both give them a relaxing property. This makes them the perfect afternoon treat, when you hit that mid-day slump or after dinner treat to wind down before bed time. I used the thera treats caramel coconut drizzle flavor of CBD chocolate bars. Code CPRESS saves you 10% on their website! Recipe below.
Who doesn’t love a good oatmeal cookie? These are perfectly chewy and not overly sweet, and they use almond flour instead of wheat flour so they are allergy and gut friendly! I used dark chocolate instead of raisins because who doesn’t need more chocolate in their life? Also this dark chocolate is special because not only is it high quality organic (gluten-free and vegan), it contains CBD, which, is a hemp extract that has a lot of healing benefits. CBD can help reduce physical pain, reduce anxiety and is overall calming and soothing. Since Theratreats only uses full spectrum organic CBD oil, there is no THC in it, so you don’t need to worry about any crazy side effects. I used the raspberries and cinnamon organic dark chocolate bar from Theratreats, you can use code CPRESS to save 10% off anything on their site!
You might be thinking, why are these happy muffins? First of all - how can anything mini, chocolate and coconut not make you happy? Second of all - I added “Pretty Mushrooms” bliss blend (no it doesn’t taste like mushrooms). This blend contains medicinal mushrooms which are different than the creminis or shiitakes you buy at the store. These mushrooms are adaptogens, which, means they help our bodies adapt to and combat certain stressors and imbalances. This particular bliss blend contains reishi (which is known for relaxation), cacao (which contains magnesium that also helps with relaxation and tons of antioxidants), eleuthero root (which is known for mood boosting and relaxation) and ashwagandha (which is known to help combat stress). Winning combo if you ask me. Now to this recipe - it’s paleo, grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar free but not at all flavor free. And I love the mini size for when you just want something small and sweet or you can have a bunch at once for a filling snack.
This banana bread has been a huge hit with everyone who has taste tested it! No one can even guess that it is sweetened ONLY by the bananas, and it has the most divine texture! It’s completely gluten, grain, dairy and added sugar free but not flavor-free at all! I love making different versions of it by adding different “mix ins” each time (nuts, dried blueberries, chocolate, seeds, you name it!)
Honestly, the overly long name of this recipe really says it all. These cookies combine all the best things - banana bread, granola, and cookies. I mean what more could you ask for? Bonus is that they are only sweetened by the banana, and have healthy fats, fiber and protein to keep you full. So these are a great sweet treat or energizing snack! Whenever I have ripe bananas I like to make a batch for snacking on the go.
These brownies come out super "fudgy" and totally satisfy my chocolate craving! Bonus is they are mostly made out of pumpkin and are grain and dairy free and paleo! Depending on the type of chocolate and sweetener you use, you can make these more or less sweet. They are also loaded with natural heart healthy monounsaturated fats and protein from the tahini!
These baked donuts are super healthy and full of gut-healing nutrients and protein that will keep you full. There is absolutely NO added sugar, they're just sweetened by the bananas. PLUS they're paleo-friendly, gluten/dairy/grain/soy and nut free! I love adding berries or chocolate chips into the batter OR eating them plain! Here is a link to the cassava flour I use (Otto's brand).
Be warned now, these taste DANGEROUSLY close to real cookie dough, and thus are very addicting. However, lucky for you, they're super clean! They really need no other formal introduction other than that, they're basically protein and nutrient rich cinnamon cookie dough. What could be better?!
These are the perfect portable and clean snack to replace store-bought protein bars which can be full of sugar, chemicals and other processed junk. These contain only a few simple, wholesome ingredients and are great for on the go or satisfying that sweet tooth!
I call these balls "basic" in the MOST endearing way possible. They use only basic ingredients that you probably already have in the house, BUT they're not basic in terms of how delicious & nutritious they are. PLUS you can add a bunch of non-basic superfood ingredients if you like, to dress them up. But they're good just plain and simple.
These grain-free cookies are big, fluffy, satisfying and contain NO processed ingredients! So they're clean as can be! Plus added bonus - they fill you up with an extra boost of collagen protein. You KNOW you will want dessert, so why not make it healthy to boot!
I will NEVER get rid of my sweet tooth. So might as well invent some healthy desserts right? I love these dark chocolate almond butter cups because not only are dark chocolate and almond butter two of my favorite things on the planet, but that a hint of salt is the perfect balance to this dessert. I like to customize mine with different types of nut butter or "add ins" like quinoa crisps (think healthy rice crisps) for extra crunch and collagen peptides for extra health benefits. I have made them both mini or big, so this recipe is just approximations, and you can make it your own!
These bite-sized snacks will have you feeling like you're eating raw cookie dough! But you won't get salmonella AND they're super healthy for you - win win :) Made with chickpeas, nut butter, a bit of protein and cacao nibs for that superfood power, they're simple, healthy & delicious.
These "brownies" are BAD A$$ there is no way around it. You feel like you are eating a FLUFFY and FUDGY (AF) brownie but each serving has insane (bad-a$$) macros! If you cut it into 8ths each one only has 5 grams of sugar and 10 grams of protein (AND only about 150 calories) WOOOOOT WOOOOT! Make these and eat them for breakfast, snacks or dessert, they're healthy enough to eat ALL DAY LONG.
I created this brownie recipe around Thanksgiving which is the perfect time for clean, lean brownies. They are a delicious holiday treat that won't pack on the pounds. Full of fiber and protein but free of grains or dairy these will keep you slim and trim through holiday season. Added bonus, the black beans add moistness and density so they are nice and fudgy.
These carrot cake energy bites are a great way to get in a bit of veggies when you're craving something sweet. These protein-powder free energy bites are perfect on top of yogurt for breakfast, by themselves as a snack or for a sweet treat for dessert. The best part is, they're no bake!
These EASY to make cookies are grain free, full of healthy fats, low in sugar/carbohydrates and super delicious! I've made several variations using different flavors of peanut butter and different mix ins so you can feel free to get creative!
Mug cakes are amazing because when you're craving a cake, you have a single-serve cake in a matter of minutes! Then, you can eat the entire thing, and still feel great after (not bloated or guilty) and fill your body with nourishing foods! This chocolate mug cake is perfect to satisfy your chocolate craving at breakfast, for dessert, or as a snack! It's grain, dairy and gluten free and packed with protein!
